Appointments
We prefer to see all patients on an appointment basis. We ask that you call in advance at (760) 352-5800 so that we can reserve a time for you. If the situation is urgent, please call our office and we will make every attempt to see you as soon as possible.
Telephone Calls
Telephone calls are returned on a priority basis. Emergency phone calls receive the highest priority and are returned as soon as possible. Non-emergency calls are returned during the course of the business day. For non-emergency calls, please leave the telephone number where you can be reached. In addition, our staff is available to answer questions regarding office policy, insurance plans, billing and other non-medical issues.
Prescription Refills and Test Results
Arrangements for prescription refills should be made at least 24 hours before they are needed. Please check your medication supply before your office visit so that you can arrange for refills while at the office. For refills of routine medications between office visits, please have your pharmacist call our office. Antibiotics and narcotics will not be refilled without an office visit. All test results will be called to you as soon as they are available. We are able to release test results only to the patient unless otherwise instructed in writing.
Referrals
Patients are referred only upon physical evaluation. Please allow between 48-72 hours for referrals to be completed. The time required for a routine referral to be completed often depends on your insurance plan and may take longer than usual. To ensure timely service, we encourage you to become familiar with the rules and regulations of your specific plan. Emergency referrals will be done on an as-needed basis. Please contact our office if you have any questions about our referral process.
Insurance, Fees, and Payments
Our office accepts a wide array of insurance plans. Each plan is unique and requires certain protocols. Please check with your carrier prior to your appointment to ensure coverage of your visit. Knowledge of your specific insurance plan will enable us to better coordinate your medical care. It is your responsibility to pay any deductible amount, co-insurance, or any other balance not paid by your insurance company. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Debit Cards, cash and checks.
And Finally…
The best medical care is based on mutual understanding and respect. If you have any questions, please feel free to discuss them with our staff or office manager. We look forward to building a long-term relationship with you and your family.
